When you have an internet home based business you can begin to feel isolated and out of touch. What you can do is sign up with a few social networks and connect with other people. Plus you can network with other marketers as an added benefit.

After dating websites came the social networking websites, such as MySpace and Friendster. It is easy to keep in touch with your old friends as well as your relatives and you will also be able to make new friends as well as meet new people. One social networking website that is so popular among many people from all over the world is Facebook. While it was started as a place for people to meet online, internet marketers and other networking individuals have seen the other financial possibilities.

Now, if you have an online home based business, you will see that Facebook can significantly help you promote your website and your business. Presently, this website now has more than 62 million active users worldwide. So, here are some tips that can help you use this phenomenal site to market your products and services for free.

The first tip is that you need to make a great profile because with a great profile, you will be able to attract more people to view it. This is a fantastic way to build new relationships and is also a great way to market your products or services as well as your business website. Facebook as well as other social networking websites are now just beginning to see their potential. You can also join groups or create your own home based business group. You can try joining groups that have the similar interest such as yours.

Try adding some applications, such as games and add some videos as well as syndicate your blog website using RSS. This will increase traffic to your blog and build a regular readership which in turn can increase your income. These are just some of the things that you can do in Facebook to effectively market your website or your business. Through these tips, you will see that you will be able to increase traffic and get more businesses.

It is true that there are many choices for a home based business and one is probably not sure what to do. A group of like minded people have found a company that has the option to buy customers for your business. This is really awesome when you think about it. Why? It is awesome because it solves the problem of having to recruit constantly. If you constantly purchase customers you can build a stable lasting business while you work to find business builders. Home Based Business Advice 62

Home Based Business Advice

Advice for setting up or up-grading your home based business:

One important consideration is having a location in your home that is dedicated to your home based business. You can use this as a tax write off, which includes a % of square footage and then divides that up for a percent of heat, lights, water, etc. but the space must be for you home based business only. So if you do not have a room, then mark out an area that is Business ONLY to keep our friendly tax person happy.

Install a phone line dedicated to your home based business.

Decide on an answering service and in most cases it is required to have a 1-800 number for someone to take you seriously.

Organize your work space with great care. Make sure that you have sufficient space to meet your needs. Have what you need within reach and an excellent filing system as well as backup system for your PC.

If needed for your type of business, when scheduling appointments with clients, consider meeting at your client’s office or renting a conference room to maintain a professional image. Or learn the new up to date technology of conferencing on the computer. It is fairly easy and not expensive if you use the right services.

Keep excellent records of entertainment and travel expenses. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tends to audit home based businesses more frequently—especially when they are writing off a variety of expenses, including the percentage of the mortgage or rent for your office space.

There are several good record keepers such as Day Timer®, Franklin Quest® and Day Planner that will help you keep track of your expenses. Use of an accountant or a CPA is recommended and can advise you on deductions you can take and records you must keep for the IRS. Talk with them before or early on in your business so that you are starting your record keeping off on a good track.

Set up an LLC so that your home assets and banking are completely separate from your home based business. It is easy and inexpensive for a lawyer to do it for you. Well worth the security.

Open a Business Banking account with your business name LLC on the checks.

As soon as possible also get two credit cards with your business name LLC

Set up a SAVINGS ACCOUNT for your home based business, remember keep it in a business LLC account. Build it up because when you least expect it, you will need it.

Develope your computer system, proper programs and decide who will handle your repairs and help as you need it. Check out their service and if possible talk to referrals. Do NOT just trust the Big Computer Stores to be there for you. You are usually not a person to them, just a broken piece of equipment and you go into the ‘Q’. Trust me; a good computer person on your team is worth their weight in Gold. A good 2nd PC lap top that can multi task can be a life saver.

Discipline yourself. You must be a self-starter and follow a routine, just as if you were working for any other business. In many cases, you are the only person you can rely on to get the job done. Unless it’s an emergency, do not baby-sit or chat with your neighbors.

There are literally thousands of people entering into a Home Based Business due to the sagging economy, massive business layoffs, and whole industries vanishing as work moves overseas. Families are needed in the past a second income for those little extras; families now need a steady income they can count on. I strongly suggest diversification (never put all your eggs in one basket).

Now it is time to look at a business …. Might I suggest you look at Its Good Business.
It is solid, easy to work with (notice I didn’t say you don’t need to work) but we do work on a TEAM basis and you have a mentor to help you firm up how you want to work your internet Home Based Business. This is a very flexible business giving you many ways to make a good income and have freedom to be with your family and friends.

Many people are under the impression that starting a home based business on the Internet is very difficult. Well, that is not entirely true. If it becomes difficult, it is because you made it difficult. Ok, listen up folks; starting an Internet home-based business is relatively simple, but making a consistent income with an online business is another story all together. Learn the ropes and before you know it you will be saying goodbye to your job and on the road to financial freedom.

Starting an Internet home based business is really exciting and starting it is easy if you follow the right process. Starting an online business is just like starting a traditional business offline; you have to invest in time and money. Fortunately, the costs to start with a business online are much less than when starting a traditional business offline.

Starting out with a work at home business is not as easy as it may seem, but not hard either. The truth is that you will not make money as soon as you start a home based business. It takes time and patience like anything else in life. Start your network marketing home based business with well thought out plans and goals. Starting any home based business opportunity requires research, information and contingency planning. That is the modus operandi of success business owners or any endeavor you embark on.

Oh What a Tangled web…..

November 4, 2008 · Posted in Home Based Business · Comment

Marketing at The Speed of Thought….

“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive”–Sir Walter Scott

“Strive not to be a success but rather to be of value” ~ Albert Einstein

“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive” is a quote from Scottish Novelist, poet, Sir Walter Scott is as pertinent today as it was when it was written as does the children’s poem written in 1829 by Mary Howitt, titled “The Spider and the Fly”

Both warn of the deceptions which permeate our everyday lives all the way from childhood to the adulthood, Nothing is sacred, not our religion our boardrooms and surely not our politics. Tangled webs of deception are everywhere the most glaring is that of the Internet home based business industry.

Recent studies have shown that each week 155,000 people enter the online home based business market and 151,000 fail. A staggering 97% failure rate partly because of the lack of business education, failure to properly plan, unrealistic expectations and all of those greedy spiders trying to lure you in.

As in Mary Howitt’s poem, The Spider and the Fly - The spider spins her web of deception to bring the fly closer and closer with various enticements so do many of these Internet programs and their operators. How man times have you seen a website or read an advertisement offering you $10,000 dollars a week *IF* you will just send me $49.95.

The variations are many in an attempt for the mind to believe. “It’s so easy a 5 year old could do this!” and with that promise of easy money you buy in only to find that $49.95 was just the camel’s nose under the tent so to speak. Next comes the countless hours of trying to recruit other salesmen, known as distributors and disguised yet to others as customers.

It isn’t as easy as you thought recruiting. It is even worse when they don’t make any money and they leave. You are forced to recruit again and again, trying to fill the gaping hole in your organization and your wallet.

Next you buy leads and that hole in your wallet gets bigger.

Some of these opportunities end up being nothing more than cyber sweatshops requiring you to work for the team where only the elite get fed.

The U.S. Department of Labor and Industry reports that on average the small home business owner earns $60,000 per year, that my friends is a long way off from $10,000 per week.

Know who you do business with is a caveat by which we should all pay homage.

For more information on how I earn my living on the Internet Google my name.

I remain as always,
At your service
